Land of the Rising Dragon

Venture to Vientiane

Private Tour

Starting from $259 pp

Vientiane is not one of the largest capitals in the world but it does hold some hidden secrets. The imposing Patuxay Monument (Laos version of the Arc de Triumph) and the incredible golden stupa of That Luang, the country’s national monument are a must-see for every traveler. Wander down to riverside, sit and relax watching the sun set over the Mekong with an ice-cold Beerlao.

See a different non-touristic side of the city by starting with a unique tuk-tuk food tour. You will visit the local market near That Luang that comes alive at night. It is a firm favourite for locals but tourists are rarely seen. Visit the quirky but interesting Buddha Park which homes an enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures, a huge reclining Buddha and of course a giant pumpkin.

Day 1: Arrive Vientiane & Tuk-Tuk Food Tour

On arrival at Vientiane International Airport, you will be met by an Asia for Expats representative who will then transfer you to your hotel. In the early evening you will get the perfect introduction to Vientiane by taking a tuk-tuk food tour; sample some amazing food and get oriented with the city.

Day 2: City Tour & Buddha Park

Start by exploring Vientiane’s capital and visiting the major sights of Wat Sisaket, the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo and the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. The highlight of the morning is visiting the impressive sacred structure of the gold That Luang Stupa before pausing at the COPE exhibition centre. In the afternoon you get to discover the quirky yet impressive Buddha Park, an enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures on the Mekong Riverside.

Day 3: Depart Vientiane

Today you are free to enjoy your last day as you wish until we pick you up in plenty of time and transfer you to the airport for your departing flight home more.
