Ubud Tour

A break in Ubud is just what the heart, soul and mind require. This cosmopolitan oasis located in the middle of Bali was thrust into the limelight in 2010 by the film ‘Eat, Pray, Love’. You will find stunning scenery in the surrounding countryside, terraced rice fields, tranquil temples and fabulous food. Ubud has always been an expat haven; there really is something for everyone especially if you love good food, culture and wandering the towns’ picturesque streets.

 

On this tour you will enjoy three fabulous nights in Ubud. We can guarantee you will want to be back again. For your break in Ubud you will have plenty of time for yourself to explore the town your way. You have a choice of a walking or cycling half day tour that gets you out of town and show cases the stunning surrounding countryside which is not to be missed. In the afternoon you will visit the fabulous Elephant Safari Park before returning to Ubud.

ITINERARY DETAILS

Day 1: Arrive Bali & travel to Ubud

On arrival Bali Denpasar International Airport, you will be met by an Asia for Expats representative who will then transfer you to Ubud.

Day 2: Ubud

Today you have the choice of either a Mountain biking or a walking tour to get the most out of your time in Ubud by exploring the surrounding countryside. On the cycling tour you start at Mount Batur volcano and ride though rice fields, past temples and villages. For the walking tour you walk through the beautiful highlands of Taro. Both morning activities finish with a well-deserved lunch at the Elephant Safari Park. After lunch you are free to enjoy the park before being transferred back to Ubud.

Day 3: Ubud

A free day awaits you; we strongly recommend you wander around town by your own, taking in a few of the best sites before sitting down to lunch in one of the many local restaurants and eateries. After lunch you should definitely explore the ‘Monkey Forest’ and some of the many quirky and interesting shops.

Day 4: Depart Bali

Today you are free to enjoy your last morning before being picked up in plenty of time for your departing flight home.

Activities

Walking TourWalking Tour

This tour will take you through one of the oldest Hindu Villages in Central Bali, Taro Village. Walk through bamboo forests and past endless emerald rice paddies. Witness the incredible wildlife, from the Java Kingfisher to the Black Bali Starling. The tour ends with lunch at the Elephant Safari Park.

Cycling TourCycling Tour

Start at Kintamani by cycling approximately 26 km through lush valleys, Balinese villages, ancient temples and rich emerald green rice fields. Learn about the history of the land, culture, its people. Continue through the towering bamboo forest of Taro before ending with lunch at the Elephant Safari Park.

A great elephant experience and an amazing opportunity for animal lovers to interact with these gentle giants. The park offer rides, feeding experiences and an elephant talent show. Additionally visitors can do some rafting and cycling.

Grab and oar and come with us on a rafting adventure on the Ayung River. The action starts when you launch on to the 9.6 km river stretch navigating through class II and III rapids in the rain forest, towering gorges and magnificent rice paddy terraces.

Challenge yourself and experience kayaking down the Ayung River. Along your adventure you will be supported by your guide in a separate vessel. Make your way through the rivers bends and rippling currents. Your guides are kayaking experts and can give full tuition to the experienced kayaker as well as beginners.

For Families:

  • If you go to Monkey Forest avoid bringing food and be careful as some monkeys love to climb on visitors and might try pinching your sunglasses or camera of you.
  • There are large number of museums in the area. Ask our team for advice and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Flights

We will arrange all flights and transportation within the country as mentioned in the itinerary. Our team can arrange bonded ATOL flights to/from Asia upon request. Please complete the enquiry form with the necessary information to issue a quote for your international flights.

Visa

A visa is required to enter Indonesia. Our team will happily advise you on visa requirements.

Passport

Please ensure your passport has a validity of at least six months beyond stay. Also at least one blank page for each of the countries you are visiting and 4 passport-size photos are needed.

Insurance

Please make sure you have comprehensive travel insurance adequate for your holidays and the activities you want to undertake. Your insurance must cover medical costs related to hospitalisation, repatriation and emergency travel.

Vaccinations

Please consult your doctor, clinic or your national Department of Health for recommended vaccinations and medication when travelling to Southeast Asia. It is important to arrange the necessary appointments well in advance of your trip.

Currency

US Dollars (USD) are accepted in some places in Indonesia. You can exchange US Dollars for the local currency Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) once you arrive. For currency conversion please click here.

How to Book

Only once you are fully happy with your tailor-made itinerary you will receive an invoice. In order to secure availability for your booking, tour, activities and accommodation we require a 20% deposit.
