Fascinating Plain of Jars

Private Tour

Starting from $425 pp

Overview

Plain of Jars 2

If you are in search of a completely different type of getaway from the other Laos breaks then visiting the ‘Plain of Jars’ and the district of Phonsavan is a great option. Along your journey you will get to see some incredible scenery as you wind through Laos highland roads, meeting the locals and delving in to their interesting markets. These markets sometimes have items for sale that sometimes they shouldn’t… (We will leave you to discover this for yourselves!)

Start from Luang Prabang and visit Phonsavan, this will give you a completely different perspective of the country. The traditional villages that litter the way along the road sides are fascinating, so are the war caves which give us a somber reminder of the Vietnamese war. The biggest mystery on this trip are the vast plain of jar sites. How did they get there and what are they for?
