Komodo National Park

Once a small fishing village, Labuan Bajo has been flourishing over the past years to become a prime travel destination. The town itself is still a bit rustic and muddled as it serves as fishing and shipping port as well as the gateway to the Islands. Walking around town you will notice that there are more diving shops than restaurants, so you’re in the perfect place if you love spending time on or in the water.

From the moment you catch a glimpse of the islands from the plane you will be captivated by their beauty. On this trip you will get to explore the most picturesque of them and the surrounding areas. During the trip you will spend two nights on mainland and one night on board of a charming boat. There will be many snorkeling and swimming opportunities during your break as well as getting up close to the famous Komodo Dragons.

Day 1: Arrive in Labuan Bajo

On arrival in Labuan Bajo you will be met by an Asia for Expats representative and transferred to your hotel. In the late afternoon you will enjoy an introduction to this beautiful island by enjoying sunset from the ‘Paradise Sunset Bar’ where you get an amazing panoramic view of the port and the setting sun over the sea.

Day 2: Komodo National Park (Boat Cruise)

Today you will board your boat from Pelni pier for a two-day cruise within the waters of the Komodo National Park. Your base for the two days will be a private air-conditioned cabin. On the trip you are free to relax, swim and snorkel around Rinca Island that has the most amazing underwater life. Later in the day you will have a walk around the island in search of the Komodo Dragons.

Day 3: Komodo National Park (Boat Cruise)

The day starts with more snorkelling in the morning as you cross to Pantai Merah which is rich in underwater life and some fabulous coloured corals. After lunch, back on board your boat the last stop of the trip is to the beautiful Pink Beach where the red coral has tinted the sand with a unique rosy color. From here you leave the national park and sail back to the main land.
