If you are looking for an alternative getaway then look no further. Our break away on the rivers of Koh Kong might be just what you are looking for. Starting in Phnom Penh you will travel south towards the coast before changing direction straight through the outskirts of the Cardamom Mountains. The views getting to your destination are varied and truly stunning, from glimpses of mountains and river water ways. It is also possible to arrange transportation to Tatai from Bangkok and the boarder at Trat.

Once in Tatai you will board a motorboat that will take you to your hidden floating lodge. Once here you are completely cut off from the outside world and it is the only tour that we offer on a full board bases. This is a real treat as the food and the service at your lodge is truly exceptional. During your break we have arranged a day trip to the beautiful Tatai waterfall were you can relax and enjoy a picnic lunch on the rocks. This holiday is all about you and for the duration of your time you choose what you want to do.

Itinerary Overview

Day 1: Arrive Phnom Penh to Koh Kong

Arrive in Siem Reap where you will be met by an Asia for Expats representative. Directly from the airport we start the journey to Koh Kong. On arrival at the Tatai river you will board a boat and take a short trip down the river to your floating hotel.

Day 2: Koh Kong (Tatai Waterfall)

One of the must-do in the region is a day trip to the Tatai Waterfall which is about 45 minutes from the hotel via boat. You are free to enjoy the cool waters and natural hydro-massage before enjoying a picnic lunch on the nearby rocks. You can then enjoy your surroundings or take a kayak to explore the nearby waterways.

Day 3: Koh Kong

Today you are free to decide what you would like to do. You can just completely unwind and relax on your private pontoon, take out the lodge’s kayaks and explore the surrounding mangroves. Alternatively, you can decide to take one of the local day trips on offer at your hotel.

Day 4: Koh Kong to Depart Phnom Penh

After breakfast you leave the river behind and transfer back to Phnom Penh, in plenty of time to the airport for you departing flight.

Cyclos were a popular form of transport throughout Southeast Asia, and they are still widely used in the Cambodian capital. The majestic Tatai Falls reveal the river’s true power. Enjoy 18 holes on the newly built Dara Sakor Golf Club, situated along the beautiful coastline of Koh Kong.  Cambodia’s newest course was opened to the public at the beginning of 2016.  The golf complex will in time offer three championship courses to include inland, mountain and links style courses.

Flights

Visa

A visa is required to enter Cambodia, the current cost is $30. Our team will happily advise you on visa requirements.

Passport

Please ensure your passport has a validity of at least six months beyond stay. Also at least one blank page for each of the countries you are visiting and 4 passport-size photos are needed.

Insurance

Please make sure you have comprehensive travel insurance adequate for your holidays and the activities you want to undertake. Your insurance must cover medical costs related to hospitalisation, repatriation and emergency travel.

Vaccinations

Please consult your doctor, clinic or your national Department of Health for recommended vaccinations and medication when travelling to Southeast Asia. It is important to arrange the necessary appointments well in advance of your trip.

Currency

US Dollars (USD) are widely accepted in Cambodia as well as the local currency Khmer Riel (KHR). For currency conversion please click here.

Only once you are fully happy with your tailor-made itinerary you will receive an invoice. In order to secure availability for your booking, tour, activities and accommodation we require a 20% deposit.
